It was spotted at a Chinese certification site  with Model number as M2006J10C. It's also mentioned that it will support 5G. Going with the trend in the K series of phones from Redmi , we can expect an 8GB RAM, 6GB RAM variants with 128GB expandable memory. The display could be around the 6.5 inches ballpark as the battery capacity is confirmed to be 4500 Mah. Though the Redmi K40 phone would be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, it's elder brother the Redmi K40 Pro could very well be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The K40 Pro would also be expected to have higher battery capacity of about 4800Mah and screen size of 6.7 inches.

The Redmi K40 Pro could appear in 2 variants of 8GB or 12GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB internal memory. Since, it would house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or 865+ chipset , it's safe to say that it would support 5G as well. The price for the Redmi K40 is expected to be around Rs.24,000 while the Redmi K40 Pro could retail for around Rs.30,000.
