The Apple iPhone 12 has been in the round of rumors for about 10 months now and most of the news suggested the price to be lower than the Apple iPhone 11. Recently, an Apple analyst Jeff Pu has revealed that the pricing of the base model of the Apple iPhone 12 would not be cheaper but instead be more expensive by $50 as compared to its predecessor. The base model is the 5.4 inches model and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max could each come with price tag of $899 and $1099 which is just a huge shocker for most Apple fans who were waiting to upgrade their phones. Here's list of upgragdes you can expect in the iPhone 12.

The possible reason for this increase in the price could very well be the many logistical challenges the COVID19 situation has posed , especially for Apple which is heavily dependent on multiple third party vendors for their parts. Jeff Pu further suggests that the Apple fans would most likely see past the price and purchase it anyway owing to the radical change in the design compared to its previous 2 generations of iPhone starting from iPhone X. This would imply that the demand wouldn't be as affected as expected. From a logical point of view, a person willing to shed $700 for the phone wouldn't actually mind shelling a few more bucks for the same if he/she feels the product to be worthy. And as Apple products, they demand the "worthiness" by their sheer power of the branding.
The silver lining to this news is that the recently emerged leaks suggesting Apple would withhold charger and Apple Airpods with the iPhone 12 series, may not be well true. Analyst Jeff Pu suggests that the iPhone 12 would pack the 2 and could maintain the price tag of $749. For most people in Asian markets, the $50 could however be the tipping point and discourage the dreams of many who thought of owning an "iPhone" . Well, let's hope there a some sort of schemes and discounts to counteract this price which could attract more crowd and hopefully Apple gains back its lost popularity.
